Botanical name: Taraxacum officinale
Native origin: Europe and Asia
Part Used In Our Teas: Root and Herb (Leaf, Stem, and some flowers)

Who are you calling a weed? That tiny yellow puff on your front lawn is the one of the most useful little plants in human history, friend to livers and cranky digestive tracts. The bitters found in dandelion stimulate the taste buds, setting off a chain reaction of flowing juices from saliva to bile and setting the digestive tract in motion. This helps the breakdown of fats during digestion and flushes waste away; it gently detoxifyes the body, making it one of the most valuable general tonics used in Western herbalism.*

Did you know? The name dandelion comes from the French dent de lion, or “tooth of a lion.” In Persia, it’s named “the small postman” because of the belief that dandelion brings good news.

The majority of our organic dandelion is wild collected in and around Hajnówka, Poland. It is used in a number of our most popular teas, including Organic Roasted Dandelion Root, Dandelion Leaf & Root, and all of our detox teas.
